IDA - Quick Start

QUICK START

WELCOME

Is your organization part of a study utilizing the IDA? Here's what you need to know to get started uploading data quickly.

  1. To upload data, you will need to self-register for an IDA account (if you don't already have one). You can create an account by clicking the "Instant free signup" button above.
  2. After you have an account, you'll need to request upload access by sending an email to the person managing access for your study. The email should include the name of the study, the email address you used to set up your IDA account, your site name and the name of your site PI. If you do not know who is managing access for your study, please email the same information to ida@loni.usc.edu and we will help to get your information to the right person.
  3. Check to see that your computer has the required Java Plug-in installed and operational in your browser by following this link.
  4. Instructions for uploading data may be found here.
Just here to get data?

To access data from "Open Use" studies all you need is an account. For other studies, you must request access by submitting a data use application. See "How do I obtain access to data stored in the IDA?" in the FAQ section of the support page for more details.
